An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

Here are some new cute pics of the little man. He is getting to be so much fun to be around, he is developing quite the personality! Finally he has realized that those two things dangling below him, oh yeah his legs, might be there for a reason. We are sure to be in trouble soon...

Happy Valentines Day!

Josh and I went to Homewood on Valentines Day to take in the breathtaking views of Tahoe and get some skiing in. A bunch of Josh's buddies from home were in town so we met them up there and took a few runs together. Now I know at times Josh acts a little crazy and maybe younger than he really is, but these guys made him look like a safety dad. I felt like I was the chaperone of a group of trouble-making boys at an alternative highschool on a field trip. The conditions on this day were fast and icy as it hasn't snowed for a week or so. After lunch, Josh decides that it would be great if I would stay down by the lift and could video tape him and his buddies coming down the face of Homewood. This face I must say is marked very clearly "experts only" and is incredibly steep. I agree. So I wait for them to get all lined up at the top and get the video rolling. As I am thinking to myself what a great video job I am doing, one of the guys falls in the back. The rest of the guys make it to the bottom and are hootin' and hollerin' when I realize that the man down is Josh and he is not getting up! I climb up the hill towards him and when I approach I say, "how did you fall, " he looks at me with his goggles crooked and snow on his face and says, "I didn't fall I am just sick to my stomach and I think I passed out." Okay, ski patrol! Josh is increasingly confused telling some that he has whiplash, others that he is nauseated, others that he passed out. The ambulance arrived and we spent a romantic evening in the emergency room in Truckee. The doctor agreed that Josh just wasn't coming to as he should so he ordered a CT scan of the head. Luckliy it was negative, and Josh was rewarded simply with a Grade 3 concussion, which totally gives him bragging rights as it is the highest grade. Thank goodness he was wearing his helmet or the outcome could have been much worse. Josh woke up in the night with a killer headache and a sore neck and he can't quite figure out why. So, here is the video. Josh is the guy in the back. Later he told me that he thought he would stay back and reduce the risk of being taken out by one of his lunatic buddies. So much for that theory...

The Big Boy

Now that Jamison is 1 year old he has to do chores to help us around the house. He does not like to put his toys away or laundry but he found something else to help out...

With Jamison getting around so well, Josh and I are finding we are much busier! I call Jamison the "ankle biter" because he seem to always be at my feet begging me to pick him up. He is constantly on the move getting into everything that he is not supposed to and delighted by the whole thing. This video is from the first week he started crawling full-time on his knees rather than dragging his legs behind him. Now he is practically running! Check out the little crawligator in action...

Day at the Park

Yesterday we finally got a break from the freezing weather that we have been having. It was a warm, sunny day and we took advantage of it and walked to the neighborhood park. Jamison is really starting to enjoy (and need) activities--he sure keeps us busy!! He loved the swing but is still not sure about the slide...

I'm not sure about this yet, dad.

Anything to do with cars, crashes, engine noises, etc. are so much fun.
