Sand Harbor

Last Wednesday we packed up the beach gear and headed to Sand Harbor. It was a gorgeous day, couldn't have been better. Jamison was overwhelmed with the prospects of the beach. He wasn't hesitant to splash around in the water thanks to the swimming lessons, but the poor little guy would get so cold--he was shaking and turned purple but still wanted more. He was dipping his snacks in the sand like it was ketchup before he put them in his mouth, oh well, it's organic right?

Summer Fun

Summer is definitely Jammer's favorite season because he can be outside from the second he wakes up until the moment he is forced to come in and go to bed, and I am not kidding. I spend all my early mornings out on the back patio to the melody of toddler boy noises. We throw rocks, walk everywhere, ride tricycles, etc... The most joyous part of these mornings is when Jamison discovers Maisie's (the cat) loot from the night before. I hear, "uh, oh" and I know that he has come across something dead. We have been spending a lot of time over at my parents' house as Corinne and Devin are home from London and their back yard is a good substitute for a park. Jamison has recently made friends with Sweet Pea, the tortoise, whom previously terrified him. Jammer started walking the day before Father's Day, it is just the most amazing thing to watch. I will try to post a video of that later.

He takes his ball playing pretty seriously!

What is this funny thing?

Hunter Lake Falls

Josh and I woke up on Wednesday morning at the end of our work week and realized that we did not have a single thing we had to do. Quite strange for us. No court, no appointments with attorneys, we didn't even have to muster up the energy to entertain the little guy. So we went on this beautiful hike right out our backyard to Hunter Lake Falls. I like to hike, but I don't love it, so when the destination is a waterfall that is much more encouraging than just hike until you're tired and turn around. I guess this is the sort of stuff that normal newlyweds do together...

Okay, I had to throw in a couple of Jamison because he is so much cuter than Josh and me. This is Jammer's new bike. If you look closely you can see that he is making his motor noise like he does when he is around anything with wheels.

Yo, Yo, Yo! This was his thing this week. He would crawl around with the hat on and it would fall over his eyes and he would end up running into the wall and other objects.

The look of satisfaction! Notice he is standing up without holding on. By the way, don't waste your money on expensive baby toys, laundry baskets are just fine.
