Like a couple without a kid...

What a couple of fun days Josh and I have had. Next Monday, as you all know, is our first wedding aniversary. Well or course, we have like a million things going on between work, school, and Jamison. I have my first week of tests, Jamison has his first music class, and Josh has a 2-day recertification at work. With that said, we weren't going to be able to escape on a romantic getaway, but we had a wonderful last couple of days. We went boating with an old friend of Josh's that he reconnected with at the VA. We attended a party for Jill Derby who is running for Congress. And yesterday we all hiked Mt. Rose (and then ate Super Burrito immediately after).

It was the most beautiful day out on Pyramid. The lake was calm, warm, and no one was there.

Our friends introduced us to surfing. It is like wakeboarding, but you get up on this board with no bindings an you are only a couple of feet behind the boat. There is a spot where the boat will pull you along and you don't need to hold the rope. Lets just say I never made it there but I was still proud of myself just for gettting up and having some fun with it. Josh had a lot of fun, as you can tell--he hasn't been able to move since.

The more cautious surfer.

Ahh, sweet success...the summit of Mt. Rose. Molly was a trooper, she did not even seem fatigued.

This photo is from last week but I had to share it.
